Brazil-China Program of Future Leaders in Scientific and Technological Innovation
The Brazil-China Program of Future Leaders in Scientific and Technological Innovation is a flagship youth exchange initiative under the framework of the 2026 China–Brazil Year of Culture. It aims to strengthen long-term scientific collaboration, promote mutual understanding between China and Brazil, and cultivate a new generation of researchers and innovators with international perspectives and cross-cultural competence.
The inaugural program brings together 184 participants from 18 Brazilian universities, including 160 graduate students and 24 faculty members, representing nine academic disciplines. During the four-week program, participants engage in academic lectures, laboratory research, graduate forums, industrial visits, and cultural exchange activities, providing a unique platform for interdisciplinary collaboration and academic exchange.
Beyond academic training, the Program seeks to establish sustainable partnerships among universities, research institutions, and industry in both countries. By integrating frontier research, innovation, entrepreneurship, and cultural immersion, it aspires to become a long-term platform for scientific cooperation and talent development, contributing to the continued growth of the China–Brazil strategic partnership.
The program takes place during July 10–August 8, 2026 in Beihang International Campus, Yuhang District, Hangzhou, China. The Mathematics Camp is hosted by International Research Center for Mathematics and Interdisciplinary Sciences (IRCMIS) and School of Mathematical Sciences of Beihang University.
