On May 14, 2025, the Sino-Brazilian Workshop on Mathematical Advances was successfully held at the conference center of Beihang University’s Hangzhou International Campus. The event was organized by the Beihang Sino-French Laboratory for Mathematics in celebration of the official inauguration of the Confucius Institute jointly established by Beihang University and the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), as well as the launch of the Beihang Brazil Innovation Institute and the Beihang Brazil Center.
Focusing on topics such as dynamical systems and computational mathematics, the workshop featured academic talks by Carlos Arnoldo Morales Rojas, the first appointed expert of the Beihang Brazil Center; Martin Andersson, professor at Fluminense Federal University (UFF); Wladimir Neves, professor at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ); and Ilias Kotsireas, joint professor at Wilfrid Laurier University (Canada) and Hangzhou International Innovation Institute of Beihang University.
During the workshop, participants also visited the Sino-French Laboratory for Mathematics and held discussions on future academic exchange and cooperation between China and Brazil.
